You know how heavily beaded necklaces are all the rage right now? Well, I decided that the necklaces I had might just have some wearability in them after all. But the big, clunky clip on earrings...not so much. One was already falling apart, even if I wanted to wear it.
My talented beading friend from church was so sweet to take the earrings apart, add just a few beads and other materials, and turn this.....

Into this....

I also ordered some ring blanks and can't wait to turn some earrings into rings....again, more of my grandmother's things, with the addition of some from the other grandma too! I have to get the MOPS Pancake Fundrasier (tomorrow night) and first meeting (Friday) over and done with first!
(For those of you who go to church with me, it was Marqie! Didn't she do a great job?)
Wow! The redo of the jewelry is great...Mom would love that!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These are really beautiful. I, too, especially love the purple set. The original earrings - not you - but the new ones are SO you! I may have to give this some thought for what I have.....
